Tilda playing Violin for Christmas

I made this card mainly to participate in the "Lets face the music challenge over at City Crafter. I had really been looking forward to using this Tilda-stamp. I just bought it, but it's definately a favorite already.

 

I'm so happy about how this card turned out. I don't think I'll ever spent more time on a project, but I think the result justify it. I've already decided on who's getting this for Christmas - she's a violin player, so hopefully she'll like it.

 

This isn't just a regular card, it has a little box with tea lights on the inside. I found a tutoral on how to do it at the StampARTic  webpage.

  

I guess the tea lights aren't too visible with that big bow, but they're in there.

Inside there's also a little hidden tag to include a message.

These are the supplies I've used for this card:

Paper: The card base is bazill bling. The patterned papers are Graphic 45 "Christmas Past  Collestion - We wish you a merry Christmas" and "Christmas Past Collection - Let it snow", as well as Maja Design "Juletid - Dans kring granen".

Stamps: The background on the front is Cornish Heritage Farm's "Aged Sheetmusic" (the webstore has been down for a while, but they're starting up again so maybe it will come back for sale). I stamped it using Ranger Embossing ink pad and added Ranger super fine detail Gold embossing powder. Then I heated it up and it turned to a beautiful golden background. I stitched around the page, and then I distressed the edges with Ranger "Vintage Photo" distress ink. Another stamp on the front is from the set Julesanger by North Star Stamps, stamped with Tsukineko Memento "Rich Cocoa". This particular stamp is "Glade jul", or "Silent Night" as it's known in English. Last, but not least, I've used Tilda With Violin from Magnolia Stamps. She's stamped with Tsukineko Versafine "Onyx black", colored with promarkers and at last she has gotten a shimmery layer from using a Ranger distress cracle paint called "Clear Rock candy". On the inside of the card I haven't stamped much. I repeated the "Aged sheetmusic", but this time I stamped it using Rangers "Antique Linen" distress in to get a lighter impression. I also distressed on the inside using "Vintage photo" distres ink.

Punches: Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch and Martha Stewart Lace Heart Edge Punch
Embellishments: Flowers from Kort & Godt, Magnolia and Papirloftet. American Crafts Pearl brads. Ribbon.

I think that's it. Lots of products used on this card, and it's just so "me". I'm not at all the "clean and simple" girl, I've almost been more fascinated with shabby chic. So there should be more cards similar to this coming in the future.

A Snowglobe Christmas

This is the other card I made today. I feel so inspired seeing all the Christmas cards being made, so I keep making more myself as well.
Front:
Stamps: Snow Globe from Heartfelt Creations, colored with Letraset Promarkers.

Dies: The small flowers are from Spellbinders Lotus Borderabilities Petite. Their centres were made using Tim Holtz Liquid Pearls Silver.

Punches: Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Layered Arches.

Embellishments: Ribbon, brad.
Inside: 
Stamps: Stampendous Cling Classic Peace.

Dies: Spellbinders Classic Lace Border Grand and Classic Ovals LG.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

I just checked in at Wee Memories, where I entered the Challenge #30 - Its time for a BIRTHDAY BASH!!, and was very happily surprised to find that I was chosen as one of the Fav 4! It really made my day, especially since I’m so fresh in this game. It’s a huge inspiration to keep creating.



I have a new card to show today. It’s getting close to Christmas, so those cards are the ones I’m focusing on as of now.

There are 3 challenges I’m adding my card to: One of them is Crazy 4 Challenges C4C63, where you’re to make a Christmas card. The other two is Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge FTTC92, where the requirement is to use glitter, and Caardvarks where you’re to make a holiday card using die cut(s). Front:Stamps: I used the Holiday Ornament from Heartfelt Creations and colored it with Letraset Promarkers. I used some then added some Smooch Silver Fox and also some glitter.
The other stamp I used is the Stampabilities Glory to God rubber stamp. I stamped all my stamps with Tsukineko VersaFine Onyx Black.

Punches: Martha Stewart Doily Lace Deep Edger Punch.

I really do hope you can see this, but I stamped HCPC 3345 Snowflake Medley PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations with Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink Pad, and added Bridal Embossing Powder. I then heated it up with my heat gun and the result is stunnishing! I really hope you can see it, as it was very hard to photograph.

Getting closer to Christmas

It’s about time I start making Christmas cards. I love Christmas, and as soon as I saw this stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs I fell in love with it. It will surely be seen on many of my holiday cards this year.
Front:
Stamps: Worship the Lord from Our Daily Bread Designs, colored with Letraset Promarkers. Snowflake Medley and HCPC 3344 Single Snowflakes PreCut set from Heartfelt Creations.

A lot of purple flowers

I decided to join in on the Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC91) over at Flourishes this week.
I’ve also added my card to Wee Memories scrappy Saturday challenge, this week’s theme is “Free for All”.

For the Timeless Tuesday Challenge, the card submitted were supposed to be inspired by a Cafe Baudelaire print (click on the picture to get to this picture on Etsy).

Now how was I inspired by this picture? I noticed the soft purple color and wanted to use a lot of purple on my card. I also saw how the motive was framed in, so I wanted my focus point to be framed in as well. The folds on the dress inspired my ribbon. Then there was also some flowers, so flowers became a big part of my card too.

This is what I came up with:
Front:
Stamps: I used “Floral Swirl” from Clear Dollar Stamps as my background. I first used my minimister filled with Tim Holtz Dusty Concord Distress Reinker and water, and sprayed the background. I dried it with my heat gun and then stamped the image. The background was colored by Letraset Promarkers, color purple, amathyst and Marsh Green. My sentiment is from AmyR Stamps Friends Sentiments from All That Scraps.
Dies:Spellbinders Lotus Borderabilities Petite, Classic Lace Border Grand, Big Scalloped Border Grand, Fleur De Lis Pendant and Fancy Tags.

Embellishments: I used Tim Holtz Liquid Pearls White Opal to mark the center of my flowers, as well as a brad to hold my ribbon together.

Inside:Stamps: Again I sprayed white paper with Tim Holtz Dusty Concord Distress Reinker and water. I stamped HCPC 3323 - Large Elegant Word Background PreCut Set with Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink Pad and used my heat gun to dry it. You can’t really tell from my photo, sadly.
Dies: Spellbinders Decorative Photo Corners.
