Tilda playing Violin for Christmas

I made this card mainly to participate in the "Lets face the music challenge over at City Crafter. I had really been looking forward to using this Tilda-stamp. I just bought it, but it's definately a favorite already.

 

I'm so happy about how this card turned out. I don't think I'll ever spent more time on a project, but I think the result justify it. I've already decided on who's getting this for Christmas - she's a violin player, so hopefully she'll like it.

 

This isn't just a regular card, it has a little box with tea lights on the inside. I found a tutoral on how to do it at the StampARTic  webpage.

  

I guess the tea lights aren't too visible with that big bow, but they're in there.

Inside there's also a little hidden tag to include a message.

These are the supplies I've used for this card:

Paper: The card base is bazill bling. The patterned papers are Graphic 45 "Christmas Past  Collestion - We wish you a merry Christmas" and "Christmas Past Collection - Let it snow", as well as Maja Design "Juletid - Dans kring granen".

Stamps: The background on the front is Cornish Heritage Farm's "Aged Sheetmusic" (the webstore has been down for a while, but they're starting up again so maybe it will come back for sale). I stamped it using Ranger Embossing ink pad and added Ranger super fine detail Gold embossing powder. Then I heated it up and it turned to a beautiful golden background. I stitched around the page, and then I distressed the edges with Ranger "Vintage Photo" distress ink. Another stamp on the front is from the set Julesanger by North Star Stamps, stamped with Tsukineko Memento "Rich Cocoa". This particular stamp is "Glade jul", or "Silent Night" as it's known in English. Last, but not least, I've used Tilda With Violin from Magnolia Stamps. She's stamped with Tsukineko Versafine "Onyx black", colored with promarkers and at last she has gotten a shimmery layer from using a Ranger distress cracle paint called "Clear Rock candy". On the inside of the card I haven't stamped much. I repeated the "Aged sheetmusic", but this time I stamped it using Rangers "Antique Linen" distress in to get a lighter impression. I also distressed on the inside using "Vintage photo" distres ink.

I think that's it. Lots of products used on this card, and it's just so "me". I'm not at all the "clean and simple" girl, I've almost been more fascinated with shabby chic. So there should be more cards similar to this coming in the future.

A birthday card

It was just my aunts birthday, so I wanted to make her a card and this is what I came up with. I got the idea for this card from the user Beate on the Splitcoast Stampers webside. Although my card and hers is slightly different, I guess you can say I "CASEd" her card, so click here to see her original.

Supplies used:

Paper: Bazill cardstock

Stamps: HCPC 3324 Daisy Patch Swirls PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations and  "Gratulerer Drodle" from Kreativ Hobby on the front. The Daisy Patch Swirls stamp was stamped with Tsukineko Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink and colored with promarkers. The sentiment was stamped with Ranger distress Embossing Ink, and I then added  Stampendous "Jeweled Gold" embossing powder and heated it up. On the inside you see "Amy R Butterflies" from All That Scraps (Discontinued) and "Tea Rose Background" from Flourishes (discontinued). The butterflies were also stamped with "Rich Cocoa", and the Tee Rose Background was heat embossed like the sentiment on the front. Sadly I don't remember where I got the little bugs and the sentiment stamped on the inside. I also added some distressing to the card with Ranger "Vintage Photo" distress ink. I also used Inka Gold "Cobalt Blue".

1 Corinthians - Love is ...

I was waiting for a reason to make a card for a wedding solely to use this stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs. Here what I came up with:

I was in a hurry to get this off, so I forgot to photograph my card until after I had already written in it and placed it on the package. Oh well, you can still see, so bear with me.

Stamps: 1 Corinthians from Our Daily Bread Designs on the front, Corinthians 13:13 by Stampendous inside. Both stamped with Tsukineko Versafine "Onyx Black ink. The small stamps I've heat embossed inside, I sadly don't remember where came from.

Punches: Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch.

Den Fyrste Song - a Baptism Card

This following card I've made for my nephew's baptism. I had been really looking forward to using this stamp from Kort&Godt - It's a Norwegian childrens song I'm really fond of. So this is what I ended up with:





The text "Til dåpsbarnet Håvard" was just printed from my computer. I really like how this card turned out, It's very babyish, I really like the blue and all the flowers. I'm also really happy about the dress. I guess this is the only time you can put a dress on a card to a boy. I'm sure I'll get to use this folding technique again sometime on a wedding card. I learned how to do it on youtube, and you can do so to by clicking this link: How to make a Pretty Dress - Origami.

These are the supplies I've used on this card:


Paper: Bazill cardstock.


Stamps: On the front I used M-107 Den Fyrste Song by Kort&Godt, and I stamped it with Tsukineko Memoto "Rich Cocoa". I also did some distressing on the front with "Ranger Tumbled Glass" Distress ink. On the inside I did some heat embossing, and the stamps I used was HCPC 2254 Leafy Swirls Precut Set by Heartfelt Creations and Cherub Tree Trio by Stampendous. To heat emboss I stamped with Ranger distress Embossing Ink, added Bridal Embossing Powder and heated it up with my heatgun.

This is the other card I made today. I feel so inspired seeing all the Christmas cards being made, so I keep making more myself as well.

I really like black and purple together. I notice that my ribbon looks a bit blue in the pictures, but I can assure that it’s purple in real life.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

I just checked in at Wee Memories, where I entered the Challenge #30 - Its time for a BIRTHDAY BASH!!, and was very happily surprised to find that I was chosen as one of the Fav 4! It really made my day, especially since I’m so fresh in this game. It’s a huge inspiration to keep creating.



I have a new card to show today. It’s getting close to Christmas, so those cards are the ones I’m focusing on as of now.

There are 3 challenges I’m adding my card to: One of them is Crazy 4 Challenges C4C63, where you’re to make a Christmas card. The other two is Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge FTTC92, where the requirement is to use glitter, and Caardvarks where you’re to make a holiday card using die cut(s). Stop by the challenge blogs to see all the beautiful projects.

Front:Stamps: I used the Holiday Ornament from Heartfelt Creations and colored it with Letraset Promarkers. I used some then added some Smooch Silver Fox and also some glitter.
The other stamp I used is the Stampabilities Glory to God rubber stamp. I stamped all my stamps with Tsukineko VersaFine Onyx Black.

Dies: Spellbinders Labels Three and Labels Six.
Punches: Martha Stewart Doily Lace Deep Edger Punch.

Stamps: Large Poinsetta Candle from Heartfelt Creations, colored with Letraset Promarkers.
I really do hope you can see this, but I stamped HCPC 3345 Snowflake Medley PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations with Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink Pad, and added Bridal Embossing Powder. I then heated it up with my heat gun and the result is stunnishing! I really hope you can see it, as it was very hard to photograph.

Getting closer to Christmas

It’s about time I start making Christmas cards. I love Christmas, and as soon as I saw this stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs I fell in love with it. It will surely be seen on many of my holiday cards this year.
Front:

Music Gives You Wings

I have another card to show today. I have a friend who is really into music, so I figured this would fit her perfectly.

My first card!

After fumbling a bit around with my new Big Shot die cutting machine, I finally made a card. It has a rather simple design, and I’ve used one of my favorite color mixes – pink and green. I’m also a big fan of plain white, I just love the looks of embossed lines on white paper.




These are the supplies I used for my card:
Front:


Flower: The two smallest flowers from Tim Holtz Alterations Tattered Florals. I used plain pink paper, and sprayed with “Pink Bubblegum” Glimmer mist afterwards.
Leaves: I stamped the middle size leave from Heartfelt Creations “HCPC 2252 Stem and Leaves PreCut Set”. Heartfelt creations is my favorite stamp company – they have so many wonderful stamps, I wish I could buy them all. I stamped the leaves with Versafine “Olympia Green”, and colored them with Tim Holtz Distress re-inker “Peeled Paint”. I added some Distress Stickles too, also of the color “Peeled Paint”.
Background: I took a white paper, 5”x5”, and punched around the page with Martha Stewart’s “Layered Arches” punches. I then used my ScorBuddy to emboss a pattern.

Inside:
I didn’t want to add any stamps here, I just felt like making a border. I first punched 3 “squares” using MS “Layered Arches” and the right angle punching technique. I then cut out the Spellbinders “Lotus Border Petite”, first on white paper, then on pink. I colored the border with “Peeled Paint” to resemble the color of the leaves in the front. Then I put the parts together using regular glue and glue dots. At last I added some rhinestone embellishments

Back:


I cut out one of the Spellbinders “Large Octagons” dies, and colored it with “Peeled paint” ink. I’ve filled an “Inkssentials Minimister” with water and a few drops of ink from the re-inker, so I can get an even sprayed surface. Then I also embossed a few lines using my ScorBuddy. Afterwards I stamped out Stampendous “Worth It” clear stamp with Tsukineko Memento’s “Bamboo Leaves” inkpad, and cut out the stamp with one of the dies from Spellbinders “Labels Nine”. I then placed the shape on top of the octagon.
