Tilda playing Violin for Christmas

I made this card mainly to participate in the "Lets face the music challenge over at City Crafter. I had really been looking forward to using this Tilda-stamp. I just bought it, but it's definately a favorite already.

I'm so happy about how this card turned out. I don't think I'll ever spent more time on a project, but I think the result justify it. I've already decided on who's getting this for Christmas - she's a violin player, so hopefully she'll like it.

This isn't just a regular card, it has a little box with tea lights on the inside. I found a tutoral on how to do it at the StampARTic  webpage.

I guess the tea lights aren't too visible with that big bow, but they're in there.

Inside there's also a little hidden tag to include a message.

These are the supplies I've used for this card:

Paper: The card base is bazill bling. The patterned papers are Graphic 45 "Christmas Past  Collestion - We wish you a merry Christmas" and "Christmas Past Collection - Let it snow", as well as Maja Design "Juletid - Dans kring granen".

Stamps: The background on the front is Cornish Heritage Farm's "Aged Sheetmusic" (the webstore has been down for a while, but they're starting up again so maybe it will come back for sale). I stamped it using Ranger Embossing ink pad and added Ranger super fine detail Gold embossing powder. Then I heated it up and it turned to a beautiful golden background. I stitched around the page, and then I distressed the edges with Ranger "Vintage Photo" distress ink. Another stamp on the front is from the set Julesanger by North Star Stamps, stamped with Tsukineko Memento "Rich Cocoa". This particular stamp is "Glade jul", or "Silent Night" as it's known in English. Last, but not least, I've used Tilda With Violin from Magnolia Stamps. She's stamped with Tsukineko Versafine "Onyx black", colored with promarkers and at last she has gotten a shimmery layer from using a Ranger distress cracle paint called "Clear Rock candy". On the inside of the card I haven't stamped much. I repeated the "Aged sheetmusic", but this time I stamped it using Rangers "Antique Linen" distress in to get a lighter impression. I also distressed on the inside using "Vintage photo" distres ink.

Dies: Spellbinders Labels Four, Spellbinders Labels Six, Spellbinders Fleur De Lis shapeabilities.
Punches: Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch and Martha Stewart Lace Heart Edge Punch
Embellishments: Flowers from Kort & Godt, Magnolia and Papirloftet. American Crafts Pearl brads. Ribbon.

I think that's it. Lots of products used on this card, and it's just so "me". I'm not at all the "clean and simple" girl, I've almost been more fascinated with shabby chic. So there should be more cards similar to this coming in the future.

I'm entering this card to the following challenges:
City crafter: "Lets face the music"
Flourishes Bring back Beautiful: The beauty of a color (Make a monochromatic card)

Christmas Lights

Hi again. I just bought this stamp and I've been looking so much forward to using it on my Christmas cards. Whiff of Joy stamps are always beautiful, but this instantly became a favorite of mine:

I wanted to combine the Whiff of Joy stamp with a stamp from North Star Stamps that I bought to go with it. Obviously you internationals don't understand the meaning, but it's the lyrics to a Norwegian Christmas carol which in a loose translation would go like "And we light our candles as it darkens, and as all sounds are wrapped in wadding, yes we light our candles as it darkens, perhaps they'll shine until the evening says good night."

For this card I've used these supplies:

Paper: The card base is bazill bling. I've used the following patterned papers: Graphic 45 "Christmas Past collection - Let it Snow" and K & Company "Handmade Scripty".

Stamps: Whiff of Joy Willow with Christmascandle stamped with Tsukineko Versafine "Onyx Black" and colored with promarkers and Northstar Stamps Og vi tenner våre lykter  stamped with Tsukineko Memento "Rich Cocoa" are shown on the front. On the inside I've stamped "Rund God Jul liten", "Den beste tiden er juletiden" og "God Jul (gammel)" from Kreativ Hobby, and I've used Large Poinsetta Candle from Heartfelt Creation. I've heat embossed all the images on the inside using Ranger Embossing Ink pad and Ranger Super fine details gold embossing powder.

Dies: Spellbinders Deckled Mega Rectangles.

embellishments: Store Gardeniablomster from Papirloftet in the color Coco.

I'm entering the card to these challenges:
My Time to Craft Challenge: L is for (in my case light).
Freshly Brewed challenges: Use something new (All the stamps except the poinsetta candle are new).
Simon Says Stamps: Use dies and/or punches
The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop: Monochromatic card
Party Time Tuesdays: Sketch or monochromatic (I chose the latter)
Creatalicious Challenges: Anything goes
City Crafter: Let's face the music (I hope that lyrics suffice)
Wee Memories: Use patterned paper.

Well, I know it's still almost 3 months until Christmas, but that time goes fast and I need to get started with my Christmas cards. Here's this years first:

These are the supplies I've used:

Paper: Bazzill Cardstock, Papirdesign "Hjertegod", Papirdesign "Julebukk", Graphic 45 "The Holly and the Ivy" and Panduro "Vintage Christmas - Faithful".

Stamps: The church is  from the set " Worship the Lord" by Our Daily Bread Designs. It was stamped with Tsukineko Versafine "Onyx black" and colored with promarkers. I've also added some white Flowersoft. Around the edges I've distressed with Ranger "Vintage Photo" distress ink. The little round stamp is called "Rund God Jul liten and is from Kreativ Hobby, and I've used another stamp from Kreativ Hobby on the inside called  "God Jul (gammel). Both were stamped with Tsukineko memento "Rich Cocoa". I've also stamped some Christmas carols from the set Julesanger by North Star Stamps, as well Heartfelt Creations' Elegant Corner. I stamped these with Ranger distress Embossing Ink, added some Ranger "Super fine detail -Gold" embossing powder and heated them up with my heatgun.

A birthday card

It was just my aunts birthday, so I wanted to make her a card and this is what I came up with. I got the idea for this card from the user Beate on the Splitcoast Stampers webside. Although my card and hers is slightly different, I guess you can say I "CASEd" her card, so click here to see her original.

Supplies used:

Paper: Bazill cardstock

Stamps: HCPC 3324 Daisy Patch Swirls PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations and  "Gratulerer Drodle" from Kreativ Hobby on the front. The Daisy Patch Swirls stamp was stamped with Tsukineko Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink and colored with promarkers. The sentiment was stamped with Ranger distress Embossing Ink, and I then added  Stampendous "Jeweled Gold" embossing powder and heated it up. On the inside you see "Amy R Butterflies" from All That Scraps (Discontinued) and "Tea Rose Background" from Flourishes (discontinued). The butterflies were also stamped with "Rich Cocoa", and the Tee Rose Background was heat embossed like the sentiment on the front. Sadly I don't remember where I got the little bugs and the sentiment stamped on the inside. I also added some distressing to the card with Ranger "Vintage Photo" distress ink. I also used Inka Gold "Cobalt Blue".

Dies: Spellbinders Nested Hearts

Punches: Martha Stewart Double Loops Punch Around the Page Set

Embellishments: Flowers from Kort & Godt.

On the inside there's room for a little message:

I'm entering this card to the following challenges:

Stamps 'r Us Challenges: Happy birthday challenge
Crafty Sentiments: Birthday theme
Paper Sundaes: anything goes
Anything Goes Challenge: Anything goes
Creatalicious Challenges: Anything goes
Crafty Boots Challenges: Things with wings

1 Corinthians - Love is ...

I was waiting for a reason to make a card for a wedding solely to use this stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs. Here what I came up with:

I was in a hurry to get this off, so I forgot to photograph my card until after I had already written in it and placed it on the package. Oh well, you can still see, so bear with me.

These are the supplies I've used:

Paper: Bazzill cardstock

Stamps: 1 Corinthians from Our Daily Bread Designs on the front, Corinthians 13:13 by Stampendous inside. Both stamped with Tsukineko Versafine "Onyx Black ink. The small stamps I've heat embossed inside, I sadly don't remember where came from.

Dies:
Spellbinders Curved Rectangles

Punches: Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch.

Embossing folders: Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls

Embellishments:
Flowers from Kort & Godt.

As always, I've found some challenges I'd like to enter:
My Time to Craft Challenge: "L is for ...." (as you probably already figured out, I chose love)
Polkadoodles: Whiteout (make a white card with only a tiny bit of color)
Stamptacular Sunday challenge: "Just Sayin.." (Sentiment/words on the front).
Creative Craft World: "New" (in my case: New Life together)
Freshly Brewed challenges: Use something new (my glitter glue from a local store is new, this is the first time I try it.)
If the Shoe Fits, Scrap it: "Bejewled Blue" (Inspired by Sapphires). What I thought is that sapphires stand out - like the blue on my card.
Ooh La La Creations Challenges: Punches/dies.

Den Fyrste Song - a Baptism Card

This following card I've made for my nephew's baptism. I had been really looking forward to using this stamp from Kort&Godt - It's a Norwegian childrens song I'm really fond of. So this is what I ended up with:

The text "Til dåpsbarnet Håvard" was just printed from my computer. I really like how this card turned out, It's very babyish, I really like the blue and all the flowers. I'm also really happy about the dress. I guess this is the only time you can put a dress on a card to a boy. I'm sure I'll get to use this folding technique again sometime on a wedding card. I learned how to do it on youtube, and you can do so to by clicking this link: How to make a Pretty Dress - Origami.

These are the supplies I've used on this card:

Paper: Bazill cardstock.

Stamps: On the front I used M-107 Den Fyrste Song by Kort&Godt, and I stamped it with Tsukineko Memoto "Rich Cocoa". I also did some distressing on the front with "Ranger Tumbled Glass" Distress ink. On the inside I did some heat embossing, and the stamps I used was HCPC 2254 Leafy Swirls Precut Set by Heartfelt Creations and Cherub Tree Trio by Stampendous. To heat emboss I stamped with Ranger distress Embossing Ink, added Bridal Embossing Powder and heated it up with my heatgun.

Dies: Ribbon Tags Trio Two by Spellbinders

Punches: Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch.

Embossing folders: Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls

Embellishments:
Flowers from Kort&Godt.

I like playing along in challenges, so I'm adding this card to the following:
Kort & Godt: Use die cuts. Not many dies here, but at least one managed to sneak in.
Shopping Our Stash: No coloring allowed (don't color an image)
Wags 'n Whiskers: Lace (I used a MS Lace punch)
Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog: Anything Goes
Card Makin' Mamas Challenge Blog: Get punchy
Polkadoodles: Distress It
One Stitch at a Time Challenge: Punch It
The Corrosive Challenge Blog: Punches and/or Dies
Fussy and Fancy Challenge: Try a new technique (this is the first time I'm doing origami)

I think that will be it for now. I will be back soon with more to show.

The Lord is my Shepherd

I came across a tutorial for a post-it easel card at StampARTic, and I really wanted to try and make one myself. I had been planning a "Psalm 23" project for a while, and for this card I pull out my stamps and started creating.

It took some time to make it, but I liked the result.

These are the supplies I've used:

Paper: The card base is made of Bazzill Bling paper. I've used 3 different patterned papers: Kort & Godt "Fryd Oliven", Fancy Pants "Wishful Thinking Corsage" and Melissa Frances "Eleanor".

Stamps: "Psalm 23" from Our Daily Bread Designs stamped with Tsukineko Memento "Bamboo Leaves" Ink, and I used "Peeled Paint" Distress Ink from Ranger to distress around the paper. "Hold them Dear" and "Lamb" by Heartfelt Creations on the front, stamped with Tsukineko "Versafine Onyx Black" and colored them with Letraset Promarkers. I did some distressing with "Fired Brick" Distress ink from Ranger. For the inside I made a background by using the following Ranger reinkers: "Shabby Shutter", "Peeled Paint", "Crushed Olive" and "Forest Moss". I then stamped HCPC 3324 Daisy Patch Swirls PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations on the background with Ranger Distress Embossing Ink. I added Bridal Embossing Powder and heated it up with my heatgun.

Dies: Curved Rectangles, Labels Three and Classic Ovals LG by Spellbinders.

Embellishments: Basic Grey "Bling it!" rhinestones and "Swish" half pearl embellishments. Flowers from Kort&Godt.

This is how it looks laying down:
On the inside there's room for a little note.

I'm adding this card to the following challenges:
Sew Many Challenges: Ovals.
Stamps&Fun=Creativity: Use shapes and/or diecuts.
Stampin' for the Weekend: "What  a Cutie"
Simon Says Stamps Challenge: Dies to Die for
Creatalicious Challenges: Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly Challenge: Creature comforts

Friends are the flowers in the Garden of Life

Hey, I’m back! I’ve had some time off from school the past 2 days and I’ve outdone myself with creativity. So now I have a few cards to show off. I feel such a development with my card making, the first cards I made are so different from the ones I make now (and I’m thankful for that).

I decided to play along in the Paper Players Challenge this week, which is a sketch.
I’m also participating in Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge – FTTC102, where you’re to add some kind of hardware to your card/project. I really like my metal flower!
